New Horizons Arrokoth Shape Model Collection Overview

Content

This collection contains a shape model of (486958) Arrokoth derived from LORRI data collected
around the time of the New Horizons flyby in 2019. The shape model consists of a 3D model in .obj
format. This collection also includes an associated albedo map in both FITS and PNG format, as well
as a PDF document that describes the shape modeling process and the data used in the creation of
the model.

Product creation
----------------
The creation of the shape model and albedo map were led by Simon Porter of the New Horizons Science
Team. The New Horizons SOC labeled and packaged these data in PDS4 format for delivery to the Small
Bodies Node of the Planetary Data System as part of the K7 data delivery.
